I was on aripiprazole for about 11 years. I went to a program to come off the medication fully. (It was a rapid taper though). Then I was off the medication fully for about two years but intense withdrawal symptoms such as delusional thinking, extreme anger/agitation and Akathisia came on so I went back on aripiprazole. I believe with proper diet this time combined with hyperbolic tapering that I can stay off the medication.

Hi @Ars123....welcome! Thanks for sharing your experience. Which program were you on? I'm sorry the taper was too fast and that even two years after stopping you were still having severe symptoms. I'm glad reinstating the drug helped you to stabilize. It sounds like you're in a much better place this time and armed with more knowledge about how to successfully taper this time around. Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg
Levothyroxine - 25 mcg
