I am getting my taper off Abilify, presently 12 mg. It was the causation medication that gave me tardive dyskinesia in April 2026. I was on it for 20 years. Looking for compassionate like-minded persons tapering slowly. Hoping to learn how to use liquid formulation during the end of the taper from the Community.

I just started my taper from 15 mg two months ago down to 12 mg next month. Then I will drop to 10 mg for two months. The first reductions are for two month periods because I was on Abilify for 20 years and need to know how my body would react. So far so good. No adverse effects. My doctor and I have planned out a 24 month reduction utilizing hyperbolic tapering. Highly recommend the book “Crossing Zero”. Thank you for your references here. I will surely use them. Will update in the future as things go along. 😊
