I’m Debbie in the UK. I’m 1 year in to a slow taper of fluoxetine. My GP has been bit sceptical about the need to go as slowly as I’m going but has prescribed the liquid. I have crrated a table to track my progress and have regular check ins with the pharmacist at my practIce. I have developed what might be a symptom which is dizziness/ vertigo in certain situations which is quite frustrating. I’m currently pausing further tapering as my GP has referred me to the National Deprescribing Clinic in London for further guidance. I’ve done some DNA testing which confirms undermethylation which has made me question if I’m better off staying on fluoxetine after all.
