taper update
I'm slowly clawing my way out of the pit of torment I've been in for the past week. My head pain is about a 3/10 today, so I'm grateful for further improvement. I'm still feeling a little dizzy, but it's better. I can tell my body is working its way back towards homeostasis.
Last night I had trouble falling asleep due to feeling revved up, and my restless leg syndrome was really acting up. This has happened to me before, so I knew it was a sign I didn't eat enough carbs during the day. So, I got up and ate an apple and then was able to fall asleep and slept well after that.
It's very interesting how different we are when it comes to diet during withdrawal. My body needs a certain amount of carbs to feel calm and to sleep. I'm a person who cannot eat a ketogenic diet (at least during withdrawal). It gives my mitochondria way too much energy. Many people do have success with it, and what it really shows is just how powerful diet is when it comes to how we feel. Poor metabolic health is at the root of so many health problems, that's a fact.
I'm going to Zoom a meeting this morning instead of attending in person just to allow myself some extra rest. Life is easier when we don't try to push ourselves too much.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! πΌ
