Saw this on another forum and it helps me: IMO rumination, inability to let go of thoughts, anxiety, etc are caused by a lack of serotonin signaling (THIS IS ONLY MY CONCLUSION that IS HELPING ME to get through it, I AM NOT PROFESSIONAL AND THIS IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE!) ... I often found myself in states where I couldn’t make even the simplest decisions, leading to anxiety. ...What helped was telling myself: "This is the result of my serotonin circuits being fried by antidepressants, and when they recover, this will pass. The brain will heal."

atypical in presentation of side effects, super sensitive to small doses and general delayed responder. never took a psych med that didn't' make me sick immediately with infections and restless legs. have never been able to tolerate being on them, but have never had support to get off so I've been bouncing back and forth. i don't like capital letters. sorry.

Paxil — 1 mg — 2 yrs — holding until Oct. 7 doc appt.
Seroquel — 50 — planning taper |

It really does help to remind ourselves WHY certain things are happening and remind ourselves it's only temporary as our brain adjusts. 👍

Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg
Levothyroxine - 25 mcg

@anne noni moss it's funny you should say that about capital letters. the new neighbours across the road have put a big gnome at the end of their garden path and when I'd go to the window and see it, it used to really annoy me 😂 I don't even notice it anymore, I still don't like it much but , it's just there 🧙🏼‍♀️ I also started collecting things when I was out walking, stones, sticks, feathers, pine cones and stuff, it used to give me satisfaction to find something in nature and bring it home. Now I'm feeding squirrels and birds , it's the first thing I do in the morning, put the kettle on and look after the wildlife.🐿️

My calendar for October says Don't believe everything you think Thoughts are just that - thoughts I make them less important by saying to myself It's just a thought I also apply it to other people's thoughts that they speak out loud It's just their thoughts Also Coffee has started causing me a lot of anxiety I love the smell of it but don't want to risk drinking it until I'm better, no caffeine for me. Water is good Breathing techniques while you're telling yourself it's just a thought that is unimportant really helps Or cold water on your face, arms etc to bring you back to presence Much love 🫂🐿️🧙🏼‍♀️

LOLOL ...if that helps your withdrawal, do it! Could be a good distraction. Ha! i dont' know why but they really BOTHER me, lately. capitals, that is. lol

you must be in the U.K. "Where you come from, do they put the kettle on?.....na na na, na na na...na na na, na na na na na!! me and me mom and me dad and me gran are off to waterloo!" In America, nobody says "put the kettle on." But ME. I am a tea freak. A tea MASTER, actually. took the training and everything. LOL And the gnome story cracks me up! Very few gnomes in the US. You've outted yourself!
