9th Prozac Update - Feeling Good

August 23, 2026··
taper update
Feeling good. Been having bouts of fatigue and insomnia. Missed church again which is bad for my mental health due to the waking constantly through the early morning hours. Not sure if it was more the physical pain or the meds. Stopped the LDN, doesn't interact with any of the other meds I'm on. Ran out and it's compounded and my budget is too tight right now anyway. That leaves the prozac (will be discussing with my deprescriber how we plan to move forward on September 1st, as it was prescribed for duloxetine discontinuation, and those symptoms seem to be steadily improving) and the valium as my last two. Any input on which is worse for me long term would be appreciated so I can discuss that with the psychiatrist.

Thanks for the updates @Flyguy10. Overall, in terms of which of the two drugs would be worse long-term, I would have to say the benzo. Continue to do your research and the cautious approach you're taking. Make sure you're nice and stable first before making any more changes. Keep in mind that in working with multiple drugs, it's best to taper only one at a time. I hope tonight is better for you!

Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg
Levothyroxine - 25 mcg
