6th Risperdal Update - Feeling Good

August 2, 2026··
taper update
Feeling good. Been having bouts of fatigue and sweating. Everything is fine and stable currently. I'm nervous about reducing the dose because I've been holding for five months now. But then I remember how desperately I want to stop this medication altogether so... I gained 40kg in my first two years on risperidone, 2mg/day. I sweat like crazy at the slightest provocation. I feel genuinely more stupid and mentally slow than I used to be. And I was extremely apathetic until I finally started tapering. And I still have almost no emotions. So, yeah, getting off risperidone will be totally worth it.
