15th Effexor Update - Feeling Fair

March 15, 2026··
taper update
Feeling fairly well today. I'm doing some things around the house, which doesn't cause me too much stress. I've been sleeping well for the most part except for a bit of insomnia in the early morning hours. On average I probably get 9 hours a sleep each night, which is what my body needs. I hope everyone is getting along okay today!

I find doing things around the house to be meditative sometimes. I only wish I could get a solid 9 hours of sleep! 💤 Because I was on Zopiclone for 15 years or so, my sleep still isn’t regulated. 😝 Enjoy your day 😊

Oh man, that's rough. It can take quite a long time to regulate again. You've done such a great job with getting off everything. I'm hoping to taper my drugs slowly enough to where my sleep doesn't get affected to much. When I tapered Effexor too fast some years ago, I couldn't sleep for days on end and I was hanging by a very thin thread.

I don’t remember exactly when I stopped the Zopiclone, but 8 or 9 years ago… seems long enough to be done with sleep issues? I’m fine getting to sleep - staying asleep is the problem 😝
