69th Effexor Update - Feeling Poor

June 10, 2026··
Slept okey and earlier. But i‘m feeling awful today. I don‘t think it‘s because my doc said i might have an androgen resistence and i‘m emotionally reacting to it. I know these feelings from before. It‘s brainfog and creeping feelings of anxiety. As if my soul is ripped out and my body is empty, genitals not existant. I‘m more irritable, feel slow, cognitively impaired and my face looks grumpy and sad like under tension. Parents immediately noticed i‘m looking strange today. It‘s an awful feeling, i wish i know what i can do. I got out of bed pretty early today (for my standarts) as i have much to practice and it‘s kind of urgent. Instead i was laying in bed, sheets above my head most of the day. Started to do some gardening at about 15 o‘clock. I need energy and my soul back. I don‘t know what this is, is it still withdrawl? Thought it was over now. Some kind of depressive phase or something else? I‘m in fear it‘s a creeping up PSSD Symptoms. Or is it because of the excercising the last days? I was drinking one beer with the band yesterday. I don‘t know but it‘s not normal and i‘m sick of it. I‘m so much yearning for the time before i first took the fluoxetine. God there was a world of life inside of my. Yeah, still a little sensitive (maybe because of the androgenic resistence) but i mean it wasn‘t like this now!

also a little headpressure and feels like dry eyes. Sometimes i have the feeling it‘s something cyclic and could be an autoimmune issue. It happens that i fel mildly shakey inside.

Hi Steve, I'm sorry you're feeling badly. You know your body better than any doctor could.

It's hard to know exactly sometimes, but if you recently reduced your dose there's a chance it could be related. I know you don't want to hear this, but I would be careful with alcohol if I were you. It can really make things worse. It's just a suggestion and food for thought. Sending you lots of support today, and I know that one day this will all be behind you! Hugs, Catina 🩷

Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg
Levothyroxine - 25 mcg

Thank you Catina, you can always give me those Tipps ❤️ I‘m feeling better meanwhile but over the day that was terrible. It‘s day 13 after the last taper and i should consider if i do also have those 2 Phases of Withdrawl, first more bodily/akathasia in the first week and then these symptoms like today after the second week. I hope it‘s just something like that. Kindest wishes to you.
