"When other people tell me what they take I am jealous! I met a lady the other day who is crushing it with her career, the same age as me. We started talking about ADHD and she told me what she is on. 30mg dexamfetamine, Amitriptyline and Trazadone, along with 4 coffees a day....."

It's hard not to compare ourselves with others, but when we do it can cause a lot of negative emotions. Your journey is yours and yours alone. Just because that woman is able to do a lot doesn't mean it's good or healthy for her to be putting all of that into her body.
"I cut down my Tapentadol from 500mg-200, mirtazapine from 3mg-15, paroxetine from 20mg-0.8ml, stopped all vitamins except, magnesium, and I still have to take cyproheptadine 4 times a week just to keep my serotonin levels low."

You're doing a wonderful job, really! The only vitamin I seem to tolerate is chewable Vitamin C. Most other ones activate my CNS, especially Vitamin D.
"When I go through a wave of helplessness and feel like I can't do this anymore, the sheer terror of knowing that there is no medication, no Dr, no more inpatient stays, feels like I am looking into a deep cavern with no way out."

I hear that from a lot of people, so you're not alone in feeling this way. But you ARE finding your way out ever so slowly. Every reduction you make is one small step closer! Keep going, even when you feel like you can't. Your body and brain know how to heal....and will. 🩷
