47th Effexor Update - Feeling Okay

May 12, 2026··
Slept well tonight and tapered off the 1 one bead. Had an appointments (Kidney MRI) and made an endcrinologist appointment due to my (stable) pretty high testosterone levels, my urologist wants it finally checked (also the cause of the MRI). I also want to explore more ways to help tapering and getting my mitochondria working better, like IR light, Nad+/Gluthatione drip (with physician) or even acupunkture. It might be useless, anyways a good distraction. But i have not decided on which course, physcian/alternative practitioner yet. I was lazy with sports and want to catch up again. I‘m having a new band with a big Song setlist, but my parts are way easier than with the last one, it‘s a little relieving (and the future gigs give a few hundred bucks income, at least something but nothing im regard of german oeconomic circumstances). However, the rehearsals are tiring and due to the big setlist a lot to remember. The most annoying thing is the feeling of having no structure in my mind, even a little dissolving. It‘s very hindering in learning and working on stuff, also rehearsing. It‘s the thing i want to be better the most at the moment. After working on something, i need about half an hour before the dissolved feeling gets better and i‘m working more efficiently. But it‘s exhausting and i need to rest in between soon. So thats it from me, i‘m interested im how the effects of the tapering will be after the 2 weeks on one bead up, it always starts soon for me. Have a good night fellas 👍

Acupuncture is far from useless. I might suggest to try acupressure as it also seemed to work for me and does not involve the needles. However, the main purpose of those as I understand it, is symptom relief rather than health improvement. For health improvement and metabolism, I would look into either hot baths or saunas.

Prozac — 40 mg — 6 months — holding | Zyprexa — 20 mg — 6 years — holding | Depakote — 600 mg — 8 months — **tapering** | Buspirone — 20 mg — 8 months — holding | with clinician

Thank you Wolf that sounds reasonable, i also hear a lot of talk about infrared (saunas) to increase mitochondrial function. The IR Light devices suggested are sadly very expensive but some swear by it.
