3rd Zoloft Update - Feeling Okay
I’ve split my 18mg dose into am and pm (8am and 8pm, roughly) because I feel an Adrenalin surge a few hours after taking, followed by fatigue and agitation.. wired but tired and also frozen.. (fight, flight or FREEZE) so the energy has no place to go. Spitting the dose this way is seeming to even out the roller coaster effects of changing blood concentration.
A note on my experience with magnesium which I began taking for muscle pain and nervous system support.. I believe the dose I was taking, which was over 400mg mag glycinate actually relaxed my gut smooth mucles to the point of CAUSING constipation because they were too relaxed to bother with peristalsis. I asked ai if that’s possible, and it said sure it is! I don’t believe much that ai agrees with, but I stopped taking it anyway and my gut did seem to return to normal after about a week. I know this goes against comventaul wisdom that it draws fluid to the gut, so HAS to make stool soft, but that doenst take into consideration that if the gut isn’t doing it’s just efficiently to push everything through, it gets dehydrated again anyway. Anyway.. just wanted to make that note in case anyone else has a similar experience. 🤷♀️
I also wonder if it affected my skeletal muscles to make them less responsive to signals to MOVE. I was not able to walk at normal speeds and fell down trying to keep up with a family member going over 2mph. I put to down to the taper itself, but I had been at 18mg for 5 weeks.. I was also tripping over things in my apartment.. that all seems to have resolved, I still have deep muscle pain, but there’s also the urge to walk fast in spite of it when I go outside, and it feels good, not bad. It could still be the Zoloft taper settling but I want to keep it in mind when I drop next time, if I wind up tripping over myself again despite no mag supplements I’ll guess it wasn’t just that!
