Feeling great. Was expecting insomnia as per the pattern I'd discovered thanks to the taper journal, but all that happened was suddenly wakening in the middle of the night with a rapidly beating heart. Back to sleep for the rest of the night, quicker than expected so all good for now.
Tachycardia is scary
I've experienced that aswell
You haven't had any alcohol have you?

No, it's not a problem just a common withdrawal symptom for Q. My heartrate is usually around 68 to 70, and the one episode of atrial fibrillation was over 15 years ago, never had it again, was just caused by some stress then. I don't drink alcohol either, except for the very occasional beer in summer. I just don't like the stuff, used to kid myself for a long time I did, but decided to get real, the stuff burns my mouth and I hate the taste. But thanks for your concern it's very nice of you. ❤️☺️
I've got to book an ECG they're supposed to check patients on serequel every year because it can affect the patients heart by giving a fast or irregular heartbeat
But I've only had one ecg in 22 years

I think they're supposed to do several checks annually, incl kidney and liver function because of how they're supposed to metabolise Q. I may be due for all these, so thanks for the reminder, I'll check my online medical records (known as Indici here, can't remember what it stands for). In the meantime trying to stay healthy with good diet and exercise, keeping up social contacts (I'm a member of U3A ie. University of the Third Age, begun in the UK as far as I know) and doing the usual crosswords with my husband every am with a cuppa. And quiz nights at the pub on Tuesdays as usual, we got lucky last week and came 2nd and won $50 bar tab (to be spent tomorrow)😃
Oh yes and I found out since learning about tapering that Q increases the risk of diabetes
I was never told that and it's not in the small print
Nice, it's great to mentally challenge, I like that
Enjoy your winnings
Well done 🪇

Well I guess we are all going to have to cut the sugar down now and exercise a bit. Also I hear too many carbs (pies, bread, pasta in excess) aren't too good for it either. May have to turn vegetarian at this rate😁 Actually I've never had much of a sweet tooth, so I'll be fine I guess.
Seroquel — 69 mg — 13 years — actively tapering
