30th Effexor Update - Feeling Okay

April 5, 2026··
The new sleeping environment here in Austria Holiday Village is louder than at home. I‘m sleeping 5,5-6h, sometimes with interruptions. All in all i‘m feeling better and got some work done for my rental marketing, got to know successful renters in the neighbourhood who taught me some and want to show me how they do things. Very interesting and helpful. It‘s pretty stressful with the parents around, two worlds colliding 😅 I‘m trying to get that business a little more independent and runnig in hope to get some money in the pocket and more freedom, i can imagine it might soothe the „waves“ (that will hopefully vanish somewhen completely). Good night Community!

I find noise cancelling headphones to be helpful when in a different place. I started using them 2 years after I withdrew from psych drugs, as sounds were, at times, unbearable. Since then, sometimes I even sleep with them on when there's too much noise in the house (ya know, housemates... 😜). Hopefully, the waves till vanish completely - mine did! Hang in there!

Jules gave you some very good advice about the headphones. I wear ear plugs and an eye mask every night, but I've been doing that forever. Good night Steve.... 😴

Venlafaxine (tapering) - Current dose 17.92 mg
Trazodone - 50 mg
Levothyroxine - 25 mcg

Thank you both for the tips. I indeed used an eyemask but mostly earplugs myself very often, it‘s working like a charm (when your not in danger of overhearing the alarm). Sadly i‘m fighting with ear infections lately (and in general) and i‘m treating those rn so i need to get air to them 🙄 Maybe the headphone might work better in that situation, but isn‘t that uncomfortable, which one do you use @Jules?
