2nd Seroquel Update - Feeling Okay

August 31, 2026··
I'm very sleepy these days and don't want to get up. But my mood is good. I have dreams again which is lovely but don't let the content bother me. I had a bit of loud tinnitus but it went away. The weather has changed so it's easier to sleep and move around and cook food because it's cooler. I feel good but my body is still getting used to being on 100mg after dropping from 400 in 6 months so I feel withdrawals but I can cope with them and definitely don't want to increase after being on 100 for 4 months. The side effects on 400 were unbearable and would eventually made me seriously ill I feel. Head massager is a blessing and cold water, I'm getting used to more cold water at the end of a shower or just run cold water over my arms during the day. ☺️

That's a big drop in six months, going from 400 down to 100. The sleepiness and body sluggishness are pretty typical as your system recalibrates, but it's great you're noticing the mood is holding steady and the dreams are back. Keep doing what works, the cold water trick is a solid one for the withdrawal surges. How long after a cut does the sleepiness tend to peak for you?

Yes especially after being on 400 or more for 22 years. The side effects of a high dose of Quetiapine was unbearable, especially not being able to breathe through my nose, getting a dry mouth and finding it hard to swallow after taking it and falling asleep whether I liked it or not. I have a long list of side effects so I can remind myself of the experience I put up with for decades while trusting the mental health team. Instead of reducing the dose he wanted to put me on the extended release one with 400,mg,still, as a remedy for the side effects, I said No Way, I hated that I wasn't being taken seriously. I also thought that you could just reduce and eventually come off until 75mg was a day I would have rather died than felt like that and took the other 25mg when I got home. It took me weeks just to recover from that one day. I'm only sleepy recently, it could be the low histamine diet I'm on. No caffeine, sugar for about a month now. Low histamine takes away the fight or flight feelings, I believe. Also I think the head massager and cold water is chilling me out, I'm enjoying the zen type feeling while I can. I think different types of food affect emotions and even more so with a sensitive recovering brain
