2nd Risperdal Update - Feeling Good

Feeling good. Been having bouts of anxiety, fatigue, sweating. I'm getting ready to continue the risperidone taper. I'm reducing to 0.3mg from 0.35mg. It's more than 10% but I can't figure out how to reduce by less...the liquid I have is 0.05mg per drop from the 1ml syringe. Maths is not my strong suit so making a more dilute solution is beyond me 🙂 Hopefully any withdrawal symptoms will be mild and temporary. Wish me luck!

Hey Polly’s Farm! Thanks for checking in! You could add that one drop to a glass of water and then drink half of it! Although if it is a suspension not a solution then it wouldnt work if i recall correctly. Try looking on the bottle to see if it says suspension or solution.

Thanks for the encouragement! It's a solution I might try that later in the taper. I'm still taking 0.35mg, been holding there since march this year. I'm due to have a minor surgery in three weeks and I feel fine at the moment, really don't want to jeopardise that before the surgery. Once the surgery is over and done with, I'll continue the taper. I'm nervous to be honest. Worried about psychotic symptoms mainly. I can handle the nausea, dizziness, headaches, diarrhea. Just scared of psychosis because it's the one most likely to lead to more drugs. It's a minefield. I really want off this drug. Thanks for letting me vent 🙂

I'm sorry you have to have surgery, but I'm glad that you're being conservative and holding things for the time being. I hope your surgery is a success!
