Seroquel — 400 — 12 years — actively tapering | Trazodone — 100 — Few weeks — holding | Lamictal — 200 — 20 years — holding | Valium — 5 mg — Few months — holding
Hi,
I've been tapering serequel as well, I've had tiny pin prick electric shock sensations on my arms amongst a lot of other stuff. I didn't understand what was happening at the time.
I was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder. I'm on 100mg for 6 months now with no suggestion of schizoaffective disorder at all. So, I'm very surprised. But also I'm blissfully happy because I was so scared that I would have a psychotic episode. And I have not ☺️
I wish you success and if you do want to talk about psychosis with me, I heard voices when I had a breakdown. But this is a normal thing in other cultures like the Maori in NZ, and is nothing to be scared of. They just treat it like a dream and they talk about it together and see what they can learn from it.
Theres different delusions
Persecutory is the most common
Grandiose, like having power
Delusions of reference, like from media
Erotomanic, thinking someone is in love with them
Nihilistic, thinking a catastrophe will occur
Somatic, to do with health
Recovery is about how much importance you DON'T give that delusion
I learnt this from Nathan Filer's book
Also if you want to nip schizophrenia in the bud as soon as you think it's starting, turn on the radio or start reading a book. I learnt this from Professor John Read
Seroquel — 400+ — 22 years —down to 100 in 6 months, 100 is taking a lot of time to get used to so resting on 100 for as long as it takes. holding without clinician.
