2nd Zoloft Update - 6,000mg

February 28, 2026··
taper update
Just like yesterday, the tension after finishing physical tasks is still there (activation isn’t a problem, but when it’s time to stop and relax, the body doesn’t allow it (lack of serotonin break?)), and I feel in the solar plexus area something like a “bare wire,” which usually precedes those “vagal hits” (PVCs?). The brain zaps are constant but normalized, and the insecurity about everything is still there; about the ingredients in the things I buy, about the people around me, and about both the future and the present.

I know that „bare wire“ in solar plexus area. It can even go to smth like a feeling of „energy sucking hole“. And i also had/have those PVCs. All these symptoms are very common but feel awful (sometimes thats an understatement). Stay strong💪 and endure my friend, it will need time.

off Stimulants (2000-2013)
off Fluoxetine (2010-2013)
off Lamotrigine (2013-2016)
off Quetiapain (2016-2020)

currently Effexor — 33mg — 13 years (from 300mg) — actively tapering | with clinician

sry BP still don‘t get the quoting. quote: kind of like when you get it in the solar plexus? I had to think about this. I once described it as if my soul is constantly sucked away through my chest (solar plexus), and i wanted to cover this hole when lying in bed. Breathing can als be a little harder in that time. When i think about the debilitating effect of a punch in the solar plexus, it‘s a very immediate effect of breathlessness and getting on knees/ground. Maybe this particular feeling (of withdrawl/depression) is indeed similar to a very retardated and enduring variant of a punch in solar plexus.

Thank you! Your forums were one of the few things that truly helped me with this. I went through six psychologists and two psychiatrists, thinking I was completely crazy. I don’t mention it here, but I also have a history with benzodiazepines, which, thank God, I managed to quit...

There are large branches of nerves in that area. I tend to press on the area to feel a false sense of control... but it's not very effective. (I do the same at the base of the throat) Many times when that sensation escalates is when I feel the PVC I understand that the heart becomes sensitized because of the catecholamines and can trigger extra beats. (Some are given beta-blockers) In a balanced nervous system, the serotonergic brake usually prevents the release of so many catecholamines. Supposedly it’s not dangerous, just an overexcited nervous system, but even so it’s very disabling… I read on the old forum that other people experience this and that over time they become fewer and fewer, and it was quite comforting...

Very interesting, sounds sort of like what I hear people in acute anxiety attacks say with pressure in the chest etc. But if i understood, its more enduring and like some neurological affects also. Its quite interesting when you start to think about all of the plexuses. Brachial, sacral, solar; when we take psychotropes, its not as if they are only affecting the brain. Sounds like theres some neurological friction in the solar plexus. This is of course all loose speculation

The power of forums! Happy youre able to find some relief. The general vibe I try to convey is that insane neurological recoveries happen all the time. All that stands in the way is dedication to get there, and some discipline to stick to healthy habits.

I wasn’t an active member of any of them; SurvivingAntidepressants, Reddit, and a few Discord ones. I’m also writing now to return the favor and see if I can help someone with my testimony.
