19th Risperdal Update - Feeling Good

Feeling good. No specific symptoms. Have a dentist appointment on Tuesday that I'm not looking forward to. I got a bit stressed out yesterday, looking at the taper planner and thinking about doing this for three more years. It seems like overkill when I'm only taking 0.3mg. For my next reduction I'm going to go to 0.25mg. If I get a lot of symptoms I'll reconsider. Nausea, headaches, I don't mind, but psychotic symptoms are a different story.

Hey! Since youre already on a low dose it shouldnt take that long. Technically if you only cut 10% youll never get there, you can always go into perpetually smaller doses. But the smaller the dose, the easier it will be to get off fully! The planner is just based on 10% cuts with some holds. Fear not!

Thank you for replying! I've calmed down. The schedule is only theoretical until I find out how each reduction feels. I could end up holding for six months waiting for symptoms to pass. Hopefully not. But yeah, it'll take as long as it takes. It's good to be cautious with your brain. And I'm on them 5 years now, so what's another 12 months-ish? Thanks for the pep talk 🙂
