"I went on 20 mg of duloxetine 2 1/2 years ago after a triple negative breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. I’m doing better now."

Hi @Gigi, and welcome! That's a very heavy thing to go through. I'm so glad you're doing better.
"my doctor telling me to skip a day and then skip every two, three days etc. for just a couple of weeks. It was very difficult. When I called she said “some people just need to be on the medicine”"
— @Gigi
Oh my...I hear doctors giving this sort of harmful advice a lot! Skipping days is never recommended when tapering off a psychiatric drug. No wonder you had a hard time! And then the doctor blaming your withdrawal on your "illness." I'm so sorry you experienced such poor medical care.
"I am on day three of tapering; removing 10 beads from the 20 mg capsule. I am irritable and tired but doing OK and no brain zaps so far. Any advice or stories welcome"

Based Psychiatrist wrote an article for people tapering Duloxetine, so give it a read: https://taper.community/resources/blog/cymbalta-tapering-guide
Our member @Dominic is also tapering Duloxetine (Cymbalta).
We're glad to have you here. Take things nice and slow, holding when necessary. Remember, it's a marathon not a sprint.
